To All Londoners...
1st May 2008 is your opportunity to vote for a new Mayor of London.... this is your chance to make a real difference, not some pointless protest about something going on in a country that's nothing to do with you!
I would like to include some useful links n stuff here but I've been told I can't in case it confuses you into thinking this is an official website for the london elections, which is isn't.
It's endorsed by no-one
If you've not registered by now.. you're too late... you lazy people
Click Here to see the bus route I would like (not really election relevant, but hey ho)
If I were you I'd vote for someone who has an exiting vision for the exciting city that is London who will put an end to the closed dictator regieme we have and create a proper, accountable cabinet government ...
...and not the old whiney, dopey, seemingly corrupt "Nasty Little Man" we have at the moment, who would rather spend your money on self promotion than provide better services, who is surrounded by his cronies and militant campainers who he seems to bribe to slander his opponents and lies about other candidates policies while hiding behind his obfusticating funding system :-
REMEMBER: IF YOU DON'T VOTE BORIS FOR EITHER CHOICE, YOU'RE EFFECTIVELY VOTING FOR KEN - DON'T LEAVE IT TO CHANCE
The case gainst Ken
Very little time before the election and it seems it's heating up. ken knows he's on a looser - look at his body language towards Boris - but he ain't going quietly. While his gang are still trying to discount Boris in such petty ways as to completely misrepresent what he may or may not have said in the past, ken has been secretly planning to repeat history and raise travel fares after promising that they'd be frozen.

USEFUL INFORMATION REMOVED AT REQUEST OF ELECTION PEOPLE - REMEMBER: THIS ISN'T AN OFFICIAL SITE OR ENDORSED IN ANY WAY BY LONDON ELECTS (or anyone else for that matter!)...did you forget?
It's disgraceful that in a land that's supposed to be a demogracy, nearly half the people still vote for the evil dictator
Do you think the election results will be delayed if it looks like ken's going to lose?
Said Ken in his 1998 "Manifesto for a Mayor and London Assembly":
"So much of the American experience of directly elected mayors shows it gets progressively more difficult to defeat a well-dug-in incumbent who has been able to establish extensive systems of patronage.
"As recent experience in Paris also shows, corruption tends to flourish the longer an incumbent is able to hold onto power.
"In a city that changes as rapidly as London it is hard to believe that a mayor who has served two terms will have the freshness of approach that is required to stay abreast of such a dynamic city. I therefore recommend that no mayor should serve more than two terms.
"If I am lucky enough to be elected as London's first mayor and bearing in mind that I have already served 5 years as leader of the GLC, I would not seek to serve more than one term."
STOP PRESS: 83% Livingstone children Back Boris
In a recent survey we found and asked all the Livingstone children we could locate, who they would like to have as London Mayor. Ken Livingstone got just 4% in the poll.
It's a clear sign that they are fed up with the current regime with it's poor service and Dirty tricks
Unfortunately of course, the children of Livingstone, Dumfries and Galloway who were polled, can't vote in the London elections.
And however much Ken likes to have a foriegn policy for London, it's nothing to do with them!
If you see Ken's ad appear in the google ads, please click it - it'll cost him ;)

The bendy bus is an indication of what is wrong with the nation. A haven of crime and depression. Bringing everyone down to the lowest level. A testament to ken and his 'fairer' systems. Some are more fair than others. Big and red it blasts through the streets ignorant of the problems inside or out. get on board and join in the pain, or stay outside and get crushed.
My Polling card has arrived which shows on the back how to vote.

I just read some garbage on the ken site saying Boris hasn't answered questions... well, I think he has.
Ken Livingstone has let down Londoners with his broken promises.
He has:
~
Failed to prevent a rise in Domestic Violence as he pledged to do
~
Failed to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour on public transport - instead it has gone up
~
Failed to protect green parks and open spaces as gardens the size of 22 Hyde Parks have gone
~
Failed to meet his own recycling targets - London has the worse household recycling rate in the country
~
Failed to meet his election promise over housing targets. He is on track to miss his target by 50%.
~
Failed to deliver on a 2004 Manifesto promise to bring late night tube trains on Fridays and Saturdays
~
Failed to deliver on 2004 Manifesto pledge to increase number of female bus drivers. The number has actually fallen.
~
Failed to keep promise made in 2003 (8 months before the election) on congestion charge charging to keep it to £5 per day. He raised it soon after re-election to £8 per day. Furthermore, the Mayor U-turned on his 2004 Manifesto promise to retain the existing congestion charge residents' discount.
~
Failed to deliver on school travel plans. By 2009 he promised every school would have one. Currently only 53% of schools participate.
Furthermore, on transport, after his re-election in 2004, the Mayor:
~
Raised single bus journey costs by 20% Raised single tube fares by 50%. In total, this is a 100% increase in fare charges since May 2004 on the tubes and buses.
~
Failed a commitment on the environment to expand the London schools environment programme to secondary schools. This expansion has not happened.
~
Failed to stand up against controversial figures preaching hate. He invited Muslim Cleric Yusuf Al-Qaradawi to London - a man who supports the death penalty for homosexuals.
~
Failed to promote a tolerant and cosmopolitan London by making anti-Semitic remarks more than once - firstly towards the Ruben Brothers and secondly to an Evening Standard journalist. The court case that followed cost the taxpayer £200,000.
~
Failed to deliver on a key election pledge of introducing a 'Culture Card' in the Capital. This was promised at the last two election campaigns and has not materialised.
~
Failed to protect taxpayers' money - he spent nearly £50m on plans which have been shelved for the West London Crossing and Cross River Trams.
~
Failed to protect taxpayers' money - The Mayor promised to launch a campaign to with major private sector employees to give a second chance to Londoners who have been excluded from the Labour Market. This turned into a scheme called 'Diversity Works'. It cost £9.8m to the London taxpayer and is currently under investigation by the police as part of the LDA financial mismanagement case.
